This is pretty good but has a few problems. Sometimes it drops the sound after converting in HD. The sound is there because you can play it again and it will work. Just not always. There is a sound stutter or jerkiness in some HD conversions. Half the time the program “quits unexpectedly.” This happens when loading or removing a video but not during conversion. I like the ability to improve the picture quality but what would really be great is an ability to "sharpen and focus" older videos. Mostly I’m using it to resize and it’s great for that. The amount of formats is amazing. Higher bitrates for some would be nice. UPDATE; After repeated “quit unexpectedly” problems it has quit working all together. I removed and reinstalled from the store but it still wouldn’t work. Glad this was the free version. Revised rating; 1 star
I converted a 2 hour M4V Movie. It took 7 hours to encode and what I got in the end was a audio synch problem that starts at 2 minutes in and gets progressively worse as the movie plays. The movie file is 9GB big and I hope the Developer fixes this problem.

I guess you got your app optimized pretty good, and if the newest apple concepts are pat of this, in the fact that they are using slicing and some other new stuff you probably know about as an app developer… Anyway great app and thanks for the hard work!! You gotta love these new API’s, or frameworks whatever it is… Oh I installed it on my mac mini- don’t laugh because if ya’ll know Mac then you know that I upgraded from an old Mac PPC G5…I hope the new stuff is as good as the old. Probably not is my guess! Anyway I endorse this and I do like it!

I attempted to convert a .MOV video file to a .WMV video file. After the conversion, there was only audio, no video.

The "free" version of this is so limited it is pointless. I need to converyt 4k webm HDR content to HEVC HDR color space. This may be an option but it is locked away behind the upgrade. That may not be so bad but there is no information in the app or on the app store as to how much this upgrade costs and even then I still will not know if the tool is physically able to convert and maintain the color space I am seeking. I may have paid if I knew how much but there is no way I am going to touch an app that does not disclose its cost.

I am converting some recording I got off the Internet and it's converted all of these files really fast and great quality, I recommend it highly.

Don't usually rate things. But this a fantastic little program that does exactly what it says. Took a little bit of expermentation to figure it out, but once I did, it's very easy.

I have had to go through many different video converter apps before this one, all the other ones had flaws and were so slow but this one actually goes fast and is so reliable and the best part,, ITS FREE!! even if you dont feel the same way, its free so why not try it out
Works perfectly
I have a bunch of students recording a music video and many used Screencastify and are sending me Webm videos. I used 4video quick converter to quickly convert everything and it worked quite well. My only worry? It's free. Why is it free? I wonder what information it's taking from my computer. I do have privacy concerns, but since this app came from the official apple app store, I will assume it's safe. Other than that, it's a great app!

This app is technically "free" but the portion that is free is so limited that I could not try it on any of the files I have. I might have had reason to leave a better review if the "free" part of this app was free enought for me to use it.

first of all the software only converted half of my video files. and the quality was not very good. Im not happy, but i guess you get what you pay for.
